65.4% Rise in Remittances from Egyptians Working Abroad
Egypt is now among the seven countries receiving the highest amounts of remittances globally.

Remittances from Egyptians abroad reached USD 2.6 billion in November 2024, a 65.4% increase from the USD 1.6 billion in November 2023.
The Central Bank of Egypt also reports that remittances during the first five months of the fiscal year totalled USD 13.8 billion, up 77% from USD 7.8 billion in the same period last year.
Egypt is now one of the top seven countries globally for remittance receipts. Along with revenues from tourism and the Suez Canal, remittances have become a key source of foreign currency, playing a crucial role in sustaining the country's financial stability.
