AI-Powered Fatwa Robot Launches at Grand Mosque in Makkah
The AI system can also connect worshippers directly with top clerics via video calls for more complex inquiries.

An AI-powered fatwa robot, known as the Manara robot, has powered up at the Grand Mosque in Makkah.
Set up in two designated areas inside the mosque, the new service aims to assist worshippers more effectively as Ramadan brings higher volumes of visitors. The robot will enable visitors to look up fatwas, providing them with an alternative to traditional methods such as online services and telephone calls. Moreover, if a question is not found in the database, the AI system will connect worshippers directly with top clerics via video calls for more complex inquiries.
Notably, the Manara robot is not the only one deployed in Makkah; other robots are stationed across the city to assist worshippers with answering questions about Umrah, Hajj, and other religious matters.
