Abu Dhabi Hosts Workshop to Promote Legal Awareness for Foreigners
Attendees, representing diverse foreign communities, were introduced to the Department’s cutting-edge digital services.
In an initiative to enhance the integration of foreign residents into the UAE's legal framework, the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department (ADJD), in collaboration with the Australian Embassy, hosted a workshop spotlighting its advanced legal and notarial services. This event forms part of the ADJD’s ongoing efforts to bolster legal awareness among the non-Arabic speaking community, ensuring inclusivity and streamlined access to justice.
Attendees, representing diverse foreign communities, were introduced to the Department’s cutting-edge digital services. The session itself covered pivotal legislative developments and services, including Civil Family Court, which provides a modern framework for resolving personal status matters for foreigners, the English Notary Services Bureau, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East and simplifies legal documentation for English-speaking residents, and the Foreign Experts Court, which addresses disputes involving commercial activities, investment projects, and business conflicts.
The ADJD’s initiative helps cultivate a robust legal culture, enhance service delivery, and foster trust among Abu Dhabi’s diverse population.
