Abu Dhabi's Government to Become Fully AI-Powered by 2027
The Abu Dhabi Government Digital Strategy aims to make the emirate a global leader in AI-powered governance.
Abu Dhabi is set to become the world’s first fully AI-native government by 2027, according to a new initiative announced by the Department of Government Enablement.
The strategy, which will see AED 13 billion invested from 2025 through to 2027, intends to position Abu Dhabi as a global leader in AI-driven governance. Through collaboration with various government entities, the strategy would build a strong digital foundation, ensuring 100% cloud computing for government operations and complete digitisation and automation of all processes.
A key element of the plan is the development of a unified digital enterprise resource planning platform, designed to boost efficiency across government agencies. This move is expected to simplify workflows and deliver faster, more responsive public services.
The strategy also emphasizes the ‘AI for All’ initiative, which focuses on empowering citizens by providing training in AI applications and creating over 200 AI-driven solutions for public services. Additionally, the strategy includes rigorous cybersecurity protocols to ensure the safety and privacy of data, along with the establishment of digital guidelines to address future challenges and opportunities in the tech landscape.
