Cairo Metro & Light Rail Transit Extend Operating Hours During Ramadan
While starting hours remain the same, the LRT and Cairo Metro will extend their closing hours by approximately an hour.

Starting March 1st, operating hours at Cairo Metro and Light Rail Transit (LRT) will be extended to accommodate passengers during Ramadan.
Service will start as usual at 5:15 AM for Cairo Metro, but most lines will be extended by an hour. The first metro line, connecting New Marg in northern Cairo with Helwan in the south, will see the last trains departing at 12:15 AM from Helwan, and 12:30 AM from New Marg.
The second metro line, running between Shoubra el Kheima in Qalyubia and El Monib in Giza, will see its last two trains departing at 12:40 AM from both terminals.
The third metro line, connecting Adli Mansour in east Cairo with Cairo University and Rod El-Farag, will close its terminal at 2 AM instead of 1 AM, although the last trains will run at 12:26 AM and 12:23 AM.
Final transfers at Sadat station will be at 1 AM. The last connecting lines at Gamal Abdel Nasser and Attaba stations will be at 12:30 AM. At Nasser station, final transfers will take place at 12:45 AM for trains departing to Cairo University, and 12:40 AM to Rod Al Farag station.
As for Attaba station, the last transfer line will take place at 12:40 AM for lines heading to Cairo University, and 12:45 AM for lines to Rod Al Farag. Finally, the last train departing from Cairo University will be 12:23 AM.
The LRT’s operating hours, meanwhile, will be extended by an hour and a half, running from 6 AM to 11:30 PM.
