Direct Flights Between Fujairah and Cairo Starting In July
The hustle and bustle of Cairo is about to connect with the peace and beauty of the Gulf of Oman.
Travelling between Egypt and the UAE’s east coast is about to be easier than ever with the introduction of direct flights between Fujairah and Cairo, scheduled to begin this July. The new route, a collaborative effort between the Fujairah Airport administration and Egyptair, Egypt's flag carrier, will operate two flights per week, departing on Sundays and Thursdays.
Fujairah is known for its rugged Hajar mountains and quiet, peaceful beaches. In a statement announcing the new flights, Captain Ismail Al Balushi, Director General of Fujairah International Airport, emphasised that this strategic initiative aims to enrich travel opportunities to and from Fujairah, catering to the escalating demand for regional and local travel.
This announcement follows Fujairah Airport's recent commitment to expanding its connectivity network, as it disclosed plans last July to link Fujairah with 18 additional destinations through a partnership with Oman's SalamAir.
