Dubai World Trade Center Generates AED 22.3 Billion in 2024

According to the Annual Economic Impact Assessment Report for 2024, the Dubai World Trade Centre generated over AED 22.3 billion in revenue through the organisation of 100 major events, reflecting a 32% increase compared to the previous year. These events attracted more than 2 million participants, with 936,000 of them being foreign. Notably, AED 13.04 billion of this revenue was retained within the Emirate of Dubai’s GDP.

In addition, the events contributed to the creation of 85,533 jobs, while total sales reached approximately AED 2.9 billion. This has had a significant impact on the growth of related sectors, such as space rentals, logistics services, and business support.

The report further highlights that for every dirham spent on events at the Dubai World Trade Centre, AED 7.7 in economic return is generated for Dubai's economy.

This growth was largely driven by increased spending across several key sectors, including retail, which saw AED 2.64 billion in revenue (a 34% increase); hospitality, which earned AED 3.41 billion (a 15% rise); and air travel and domestic transport, which generated AED 2.86 billion (an 8% growth).
