Dubai’s Population Tops 3.8 Million to See Largest Growth Since 2018

Dubai’s population rose past 3.8 million in 2024, marking the largest annual increase since 2018. According to the Dubai Statistics Centre, the emirate welcomed over 169,000 new residents last year, continuing its trend of attracting white-collar professionals, job seekers, and investors from around the world.

This influx is driving demand for housing, transportation, utilities, healthcare and education, with analysts predicting a substantial boost in consumption through 2025 and beyond.

During the day, Dubai's population swells by an additional one million as workers from neighbouring emirates like Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Ajman flock to the city for business and meetings.
