Dubai’s Streets & Squares Are Preparing for an Artistic Makeover

Dubai’s public spaces are set to become canvases for artistic expression as Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) joins forces with Dubai Municipality to integrate art into the city’s streets, squares and residential areas. The initiative, part of the broader Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, aims to enhance the city’s creative identity while supporting sustainable urban development.

Under this partnership, Dubai Culture will oversee the selection of locations and determine the number of artworks to be installed annually. Dubai Municipality, in turn, will coordinate with various authorities to streamline approvals and ensure the seamless integration of public art into the cityscape. Beyond beautification, the project aims to create more engaging urban environments, support local and international artists, and reinforce Dubai’s position as a global hub for culture and creativity.
