Egypt’s Telecom Operators Offer Free Calls to Gaza for One Week
The initiative is being implemented in coordination with the National Telecom Regulatory Authority and the Egyptian Red Crescent to ease communication barriers during the conflict.
Egypt’s four telecom operators—WE, Orange Egypt, e& Egypt, and Vodafone Egypt—are offering free international calls to the Gaza Strip for one week to help customers contact family members. The initiative is being implemented in coordination with the National Telecom Regulatory Authority and the Egyptian Red Crescent to ease communication barriers during the conflict. Orange Egypt was the first to activate the measure, enabling free calls to Gaza for seven days starting on Monday. Telecom Egypt (WE) followed by providing five free international minutes per day to Gaza for one week starting Tuesday. e& Egypt and Vodafone Egypt then introduced identical one-week offers for free international calls to Gaza from Tuesday.
