Egypt’s population aged 18 to 29 has reached 21.3 million in 2025, accounting for 19.9% of the country’s total population of 107.2 million, according to data released by the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS). The announcement was made to mark International Youth Day.
This demographic breadth highlights Egypt’s youthful profile. As nearly one-fifth of the population enters or remains in early adulthood, the report suggests that demands on job creation, higher education and digital services may soon rise.
