Egyptian Ambulance Authority Launches Smart Response System
The emergency hotline, 123, is electronically routed to the nearest ambulance based on the caller's location.
The Egyptian Ambulance Authority has introduced a new smart system aimed at improving ambulance response times.
The system is integrated with the National Unified Safety Network, automatically linking ambulances to the operations room and reducing reliance on manual processes. It employs advanced software to identify and dispatch the nearest available ambulance.
When an emergency call is made via hotline (123), it is electronically routed to the closest ambulance based on the caller’s location. Crews receive incident details on tablets and navigate the fastest routes. Upon arrival, real-time data entry allows the operations room to monitor the patient’s condition and notify hospitals to prepare for their arrival.
The smart system was piloted in 6th of October City, and operates 24/7 to ensure safe and efficient patient transport.
