Egyptian Lynx Crosses Border & Attacks Israeli Soldiers
The Egyptian lynx primarily preys on small animals including rodents.

Israeli media has reported that an Egyptian lynx attacked several Israeli soldiers near the Israel-Egypt border, in the Mount Harif area, causing injuries of varying severity. Details on how the animal crossed the border and initiated the attack remain unclear.
A Nature and Reserves Authority inspector arrived shortly after the attack and captured the animal. The lynx was later transferred to a specialised wildlife hospital for examination.
The Egyptian lynx, a medium-sized predator native to arid desert regions, measures between 60 to 130 cm in length and can reach speeds of 80 km/h while hunting. It primarily preys on small animals, such as rodents.
