Ibrahim Pasha Street in Korba Will Soon Be for Pedestrians Only
The project aims to preserve the street’s architectural character while improving the visitor experience. The plans were developed in coordination with local residents and business owners.

Ibrahim Pasha Street in Korba, which connects Ahram Street and Baghdad Street, is set to undergo a full renovation. Once completed, the street will be permanently closed to vehicles and redesigned as a pedestrian-only zone, giving people easier access to its cafés, restaurants, and shops including Aswan Café, Cilantro, and Batates and Zalabya.
According to Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber, the project aims to preserve the street’s architectural character while improving the visitor experience. Planned upgrades include expanded outdoor seating areas for cafés and restaurants, designated pedestrian walkways, new public seating, and additional landscaping. Architecturally cohesive lamp posts and trash bins will also be installed.
The governor noted that the plans were developed in coordination with local residents and business owners to ensure the changes reflect the street’s heritage and community needs.
The renovation is part of broader efforts to revitalise historic areas of Heliopolis and promote more walkable urban environments.
