Egyptian National Football Team Honours Olympic Champions
The celebration honoured Egyptian Olympic medalists Ahmed El Gendy, Sarah Samir and Mohamed El Sayed.
The Egyptian national football team organised a celebratory passageway to honour Egypt’s Olympic champions after their return from the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. The celebrations were led by Egyptian football legends Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, and was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhy.
The celebration honoured Ahmed El Gendy, who won the gold medal at the Modern Pentathlon event, Sarah Samir, the weightlifter who won the silver medal at the Women’s 81kg event, and Mohamed El Sayed, the fencer won bronze at the Men’s Epee event.
Egypt’s National Football Team is currently preparing for their upcoming match with the Cape Verde side this Friday, as part of the first round of qualifying matches for the African Cup of Nations 2025.
