Egyptian Nurses & Doctors Form Joint Team for Gaza Medical Aid
The team will be sent from the Ministry of Awqaf’s ‘Al Du’aa’ Hospital to the Gaza Strip.

Egypt’s Ministry of Health and Population, in collaboration with the Ministry of Awqaf, is actively coordinating the dispatch of a medical team specialising in orthopaedics and surgery, alongside a nursing staff, to the Gaza Strip. The team will be sent from the Ministry of Awqaf’s ‘Al Du’aa’ Hospital, and will be equipped with the necessary tools and resources to carry out crucial medical duties within Gaza.
The announcement was made by Minister of Awqaf, Dr. Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa, who also stated that the ministry is sending aid in the form of 200 tons of food items and 50 tons of meat. The ongoing attacks on medical facilities and personnel by the Israeli occupation forces have critically strained Gaza’s health system, pushing it to what the Palestinian Red Crescent describes as a “point of no return.”
On November 11th, Al-Shifa, the largest hospital in the Gaza Strip, experienced intensified bombardment, as reported by the World Health Organization. This has led to the death of two premature babies, with 37 others now at risk of death. The hospital has been forced to suspend its operations.
