First Direct Europe–Saudi Flights Land at Red Sea Intl Airport
beOnd launches a Milan–RSI link, adding twice-weekly non-stop access to The Red Sea and AMAALA.
: Red Sea Global (RSG) has announced the arrival of the first direct flight from Europe to Red Sea International Airport (RSI). The inaugural beOnd service from Milan landed on November 12th, establishing a direct air link between Europe and the Red Sea and AMAALA destinations.
Operated by beOnd, the premium leisure airline, the new route offers European travellers streamlined access to two of the Kingdom’s flagship luxury and regenerative tourism projects. The airline’s Milan–RSI service pairs its premium onboard offering with RSI’s contemporary, sustainability-focused airport design.
A signing ceremony at the TOURISE Global Tourism Summit in Riyadh celebrated the launch, underscoring the strategic collaboration between RSG and its aviation partners.
“The launch of this direct route from Milan marks a defining moment for Red Sea Global and our destinations," John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, said. "It not only strengthens our connection with Europe, but also reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering extraordinary, luxury experiences. Together with our partners at beOnd, we are opening a new gateway to the Saudi Red Sea coast, ushering in the next chapter of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 journey.”
RSI, operated by daa International, serves as the main gateway to The Red Sea and AMAALA. Developed with sustainability principles at its core, the airport forms part of Saudi Arabia’s wider goal to attract 150 million visitors by 2030, up from the original target of 100 million. Tourism’s contribution to national GDP has already risen from 3% to 7% since the launch of Vision 2030.
