Gaming Platform Unesportsity Launches Gaming Program in Schools
The initiative aims to use gaming as a tool for upskilling, fostering economic benefits, and enhancing learning experiences.
Unesportsity, a Dubai-based company offering a marketplace for gaming products, is piloting a program to integrate gaming into the school curriculum, starting with students as young as three. The initiative aims to use gaming as a tool for upskilling, fostering economic benefits, and enhancing learning experiences in schools and universities.
The program will be introduced at the Citizens School, chaired by Dr. Adil Alzarooni, founder of CapiZona Ventures, which runs Unesportsity. Dr. Alzarooni envisions gaming as a way to make education more engaging while developing skills beneficial for students' future, regardless of whether they pursue gaming professionally.
As part of the program’s initial phase, Unesportsity has begun hosting gaming tournaments at its studio on Sheikh Zayed Road, gathering data to assess gaming’s impact on learning outcomes before expanding to other schools and universities.
