Gazan Journalist Bisan Owda Nominated for News & Documentary Emmy

Palestinian journalist, activist, and filmmaker Bisan Owda has received a News & Documentary Emmy nomination for her work with AJ+ on the series 'It’s Bisan from Gaza and I’m Still Alive.' Since October 7, Owda has documented her daily life in Gaza, detailing the daily horrors faced by the Palestinian people.

Earlier in June, Owda won a Peabody Award for the same series, which she accepted from a refugee camp. The winners of the News & Documentary Emmy Awards will be announced at the end of September.
