Prime Minister Dr. Mustafa Madbouly has announced a major reduction in the prices of goods after Eid Al Fitr, with an expected 30% reduction on commodities enacted after the holiday. The announcement was made during a meeting with manufacturers and trade bodies, informing them of the upcoming government directive.

This implementation of this reduction in commodity prices is intended to allow the government to build strategic reserves of these goods in an attempt to control the markets during periods of fluctuation.
