INTERPOL Sets Up Regional Office in Riyadh to Serve MENA Region
The signing ceremony was held at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Riyadh.
Dr. Hisham Al-Faleh, Assistant at the Kingdom’s Ministry of Interior, and Jurgen Stock, Secretary General of INTERPOL, signed a Host Country Agreement between Saudi Arabia and the International Police Organisation, establishing its regional office for the MENA region at a ceremony held at the Ministry of Interior headquarters in Riyadh.
The signing of the agreement came after Saudi Minister of Interior, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud discussed and reviewed INTERPOL’s activities with the organisation’s president, Major General Ahmed Naser Al-Raisi. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister of Interior Dr Nasser Al-Dawood, and Director of Public Security Lt. Gen. Mohammed Al-Bassami, amongst other senior officials.
