The governorate of Ismailia is establishing its first juvenile court, which will try individuals under 18 years of age. The court will specialise in trying defendants who were underaged during the time of the alleged crime, even if they grow up to be over 18 by the time the trial takes place.
The court is part of the Fayed Courts and Prosecution Complex project. Initial construction and implementation of the court are scheduled to take place within days.
