Ithra Eid Festivities Draw Over 100,000 Visitors in Three Days
The Eid programme featured cultural performances, science-based exhibits, and workshops focused on global traditions.

The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran recorded over 100,000 visitors during its three-day Eid Al-Fitr celebration.
Organised as part of Ithra’s annual Eid programming, the event featured more than 25 activities, including performances, exhibitions, and interactive workshops aimed at engaging visitors across age groups. Among the cultural offerings, the ‘World Table’ workshop introduced audiences to international cuisines, while ‘The Scent of Eid’ and ‘Eid Riddles’ explored the sensory and linguistic traditions associated with the holiday.
Family-focused performances such as ‘Between the Clouds’ and ‘Between Memories’ were staged in the Ithra Gardens, providing outdoor entertainment across the long weekend. In addition to cultural programming, the Energy Exhibit offered science-based activities like ‘Let’s Fly with Science’ and ‘Fun Without Corners’, highlighting the educational component of the festival through demonstrations on energy and light.
The programme concluded with cinematic screenings and a live musical performance that merged video game compositions with classical instruments including piano and guitar.
Ithra, which opened in 2018 under the initiative of Saudi Aramco, continues to serve as one of the Kingdom’s leading multidisciplinary cultural institutions. Its public programmes regularly include exhibitions, festivals, and educational outreach focused on art, science, and heritage.
