Janadriyah Village Opens for Camel Festival in Riyadh
Organised under the Saudi Camel Racing Federation as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Camel Festival, the village features food, crafts, performances and family activities.
Janadriyah village has opened to the public in Riyadh for a two-week period as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Camel Festival, offering a mix of cultural, retail and leisure experiences centred on Saudi camel heritage.
The site spans 15,000 square metres and features more than 60 booths designed to serve families and tourists. Visitors can explore shops selling traditional handicrafts alongside contemporary products, with a range of restaurants and cafés operating throughout the village. A dedicated events stage hosts continuous cultural and artistic performances, while camel-riding activities provide a direct, hands-on experience linked to the festival’s central theme.
The village layout brings together dining, shopping and live performances in a single destination, with organisers structuring the space to manage steady visitor flow and accommodate different interests. Activities are spread across the site to encourage exploration while keeping services accessible throughout the day.
The Saudi Camel Racing Federation is supervising the programme. The federation said the initiative aims to preserve camel-related heritage and introduce it to younger generations, while positioning camel racing and associated cultural activities as part of a broader tourism and entertainment offering aligned with Vision 2030.
