This is the third time the festival broke the Guinness World Record for largest falconry competition with 2,654 falcons.
The King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival 2023 is flying high after setting a new record, swooping into the Guinness World Records for the third time by becoming the largest falconry competition on earth. The festival, held between November 28th and December 14th in Riyadh, saw 2,654 falcons participate, proving that birds of a feather do indeed flock together - especially when they’re competing for prizes worth over SAR 33.6 million.
Organised by the Saudi Falcons Club, the inaugural edition of the King Abdulaziz Falconry Festival broke its first Guinness World Record with 1,723 falcons in 2018, and then broke it again in 2019 with 2,350 falcons.
