Minimum Pensions Will Be Raised from EGP 1,105 to EGP 1,300
The government has been implementing a series of measures to “alleviate financial strains.”
Head of the National Organization for Social Insurance (NOSI), Gamal Awad, announced a 17.64 percent increase in the minimum pension, effective from January 1, 2024. The minimum pension will rise from EGP 1,105 to EGP 1,300, providing essential support to retirees.
Furthermore, NOSI will also raise the maximum pension to EGP 10,080 from EGP 8,720 starting from the same date.

In October, the National Wages Council approved an increase in the minimum wage for private sector employees, and in September, President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi raised the minimum wage for public sector employees.
