Ministry of Transport Begins Trial Operation of 5 New Metro Stations

Egypt's National Authority for Tunnels has initiated a trial operation of five new metro stations, marking the third phase of the Egyptian metro system's development plan. These new stations are situated in Wadi Al Nile, Al Tawfiqiya, Gameat Al Dewal, Bulaq Al Dakrour, and Cairo University.

The third phase of this development plan covers a span of 17.7 kilometres and includes a total of 15 routes. In October 2022, the authority inaugurated four additional stations, namely Nasser, Maspero, Safaa Hegazy, and Al Kitkat.
