NEOM Media Launches Program to Train Saudi Sports Journalists

A four-week sports journalism program has been launched by NEOM Media and Mahd Sports Academy to develop Saudi talent who would be able to cover important athletic events in the Kingdom.

This month marked the end of the first program, which trained 43 participants through a rigorous curriculum that combined online theory, in-person meetings in Riyadh, and hands-on training. Skills taught included news writing, editing, video production, and interviewing techniques. The program featured a panel of local and international sports media experts including Jeremy Inson, Hani al-Hijazi, Sawsan Saad, Mohammed Moharram, Ayedh al-habi, Fabrizio Romano and Pedro Pinto.
