New Crafts Market in Jazan Empowers Youth in Traditional Arts
The Crafts Market programme by Alrowad Youth Association and the Cultural House runs in Jazan until the end of November.
A new initiative in Jazan is offering youth the opportunity to learn traditional crafts and develop entrepreneurial skills through the Crafts Market programme. The initiative runs at the Cultural House on Fridays and Saturdays until the end of November.
Workshops are led by experienced local artisans and cover practices such as pottery – from clay extraction to traditional kiln firing – as well as candle-making, leatherwork, jewellery design and accessory production. Participants receive professional instruction alongside practical sessions on branding, packaging and turning creative work into business ventures.
Organised jointly by the Alrowad Youth Association and the Cultural House under the Heritage Commission, this programme supports a broader effort to preserve the Kingdom’s material heritage while creating fresh economic pathways for young creative talent.
