New Transit Road to Be Established Between Egypt & Chad

The Ministry of Infrastructure in Chad has signed a protocol of agreement with the Arab Contractors Company in Egypt to study and eventually establish a transit road between Egypt and Chad. The road would run through Libya, and enable greater connectivity for the transport of goods and people across Africa.

The agreement will initiate detailed technical studies to best determine how to implement the road, in line with the Chadian government's greater plans to develop its national infrastructure.
