Port Said’s Palestine Street to Undergo EGP 27 Million Redevelopment
The project aims to improve the view of the Suez Canal for tourists and citizens, as well as the surrounding street.
The Port Said Governorate is investing nearly EGP 27 million in one of the most important touristic streets in the area: Palestine Street. Located in the Eastern District, Palestine Street overlooks the Suez Canal, making it a popular spot for tourists and citizens to watch the passage of international trade ships.
The developments will include the reconstruction of the gates of Port Said and the tourist walkway, the establishment of seating areas for citizens and tourists, the regulation of traffic to avoid congestion, as well as increasing the proportion of green spaces, decorative columns and artworks.
