RTA Introduces New Bus Route Between Satwa & Global Village
Dubai’s RTA launches new bus routes, as well as updates to nine key services.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in Dubai is rolling out three new bus routes, including a direct connection between Satwa and Global Village, alongside significant changes to nine existing routes to enhance city travel.
Starting Friday, November 29th, Route 108 will directly link Satwa Bus Station to Global Village. The service will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and special events- beginning with UAE’s Eid Al Etihad long weekend between 2 PM and 1 AM, with buses departing every 60 minutes.
Additionally, two new city routes aim to improve connectivity: Route F63 will act as a metro feeder service, connecting Al Ras Metro Station (Green Line) to Union Bus Station via Al Khaleej and Naif Streets. Route J05 will link Mira Community and Dubai Studio City, passing through Neshama Townhouses.
The RTA has also introduced adjustments to nine key routes: Route 5 has been updated to operate between Abu Hail and Union Bus Station, no longer stopping at Al Ras Metro Station. Meanwhile, Route 14 now terminates at Business Bay Metro Station instead of its previous endpoint.
Changes have also been made to Route 33, which is now shortened to end at Karama Bus Station near Al Ghubaiba. Additionally, Route 91 has added stops at Business Bay and Dubai Multi Commodities Centre to better serve commuters in those areas.
Route J02 has been streamlined to improve travel times between Arabian Ranches and Dubai Production City. Conversely, Route J04 has expanded its coverage to include Sports City while reducing stops within Dubai Studio City.
For feeder services, Route F38 now serves Al Jurf Heights Group, and Route F39 has been extended to include Etihad Mall. Lastly, Route X92 has been adjusted to connect with the DMCC Metro Stop while reducing stops at Dubai Investment Park.
Furthermore, 30 other routes will be fine-tuned to better align bus arrival times and improve efficiency.
