Rawy Films Calls for SWANA Film Submissions for Their Pop-Up Cinema

Rawy Films has opened submissions for its upcoming Pop-up Cinema showcase. The call is open to SWANA films of any length and in all genres — including narrative features and shorts, documentaries, experimental films and hybrid work — with no entry fee required.

Based in Berlin, Rawy Films is a collective of filmmakers and cinephiles focused on independent cinema from Southwest Asia and North Africa. Through Pop-up Cinema events held in arthouse venues across the region and internationally, the collective highlights emerging filmmakers and presents work that often has limited access to traditional screening platforms.

The initiative is built around expanding visibility for SWANA cinema and introducing international audiences to films from the region. The submission deadline is December 16th, 2025. Further details and entry forms are available on the Rawy Films website.
