Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo Tournament Gallops Into Saudi Arabia
The distinguished polo competition will feature professional players and royal dignitaries from January 17th to the 20th.
With its long and distinguished history in the region, the noble sport of polo is perhaps the best incentive to horse around in AlUla. And so it will be the case with the third edition of Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo, which is trotting into Saudi Arabia's most historic city to show off the equine talents of professional players, royal dignitaries and international patrons from January 17th to the 20th.
“Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo has become a catalyst for AlUla’s emergence as a global home for equestrianism and winter polo in its short yet incredible history," Ziad AlSuhaibani, Chief of Sports Sector at Royal Commission for AlUla, tells SceneNowSaudi. "Its profile and popularity have grown enormously both regionally and internationally and even more foundations for long-term growth and development will be cemented this year."
Richard Mille AlUla Desert Polo 2024, held in partnership with the Saudi Polo Federation, will take place at Al Fursan Village and feature some of the sport's top players including Argentina's Adolfo Cambiaso, widely considered the greatest polo athlete of all time. Saudi Arabia's own royal dignitaries, namely HRH Prince Abbas bin Ali and HRH Prince Hamza bin Abbas, will also take part in the competition.
Tickets are available on the Experience AlUla website starting at SAR 150 for Early Bird customers.
