Riyadh Season 2024 Will Host 11 International Sports Championships

The General Entertainment Authority (GEA) has revealed the details of the Riyadh Season 2024, which is planned to be 40% bigger than ever.

Beginning October 12th, Riyadh Season 2024 will host 11 international sporting championships, including the IV Crown Showdown for light heavyweight boxing, the 2024 African Super Cup Championship, the Six King Slam Tennis Championship and a revenge boxing match between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.

The season will also see an Elie Saab fashion show entitled ‘1000 Seasons and Seasons’, as well as the Joy Awards Ceremony for Arab entertainers. Not only that, but spectators will have the opportunity to see two highly-anticipated WWE championships: the Ultimate Fighting Championship and the WWE Crown Jewel competition.

Among other new additions is a musical concert presented by Hans Zimmer, a stand-up show by Martin Lawrence and a newly opened Christian Dior Cafe.

Overall, 14 key entertainment areas will host a variety of events, representing 4,200 contracts with 2,100 companies, 95% of which are local Saudi enterprises. The GEA has partnered with Sila Company, one key arm of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, and the Saudi Media Company (SMC) to organise this year’s festivities.
