The Saudi Ministry of Health has approved the establishment of art therapy clinics in government health clusters.
Art therapy is considered a highly advanced therapeutic method for the treatment of psychological illnesses. According to the American Art Therapy Association, this method of therapy uses non-verbal communication to better allow the patient to express their feelings and thoughts. Art therapy is also shown to have the added benefit of slowing cognitive decline, and improve interpersonal experiences.
