Saudi Arabian Grand Prix Removed From 2026 F1 Calendar

Formula 1 has removed the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix from its 2026 calendar, confirming the race will not take place in April as originally scheduled.

The event, which was set to run from April 17th to 19th at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, has been taken off the calendar following consultations between Formula 1, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and race promoters.

The Bahrain Grand Prix has also been removed from the same period, with organisers confirming that no replacement races will be scheduled to fill the April slot.

Junior racing categories, including Formula 2, Formula 3 and F1 Academy, will also not compete on the originally planned dates.

The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, first held in 2021, would have marked its fifth edition in 2026.

Organisers said the decision followed detailed evaluations and consultations, noting that safety considerations were a priority. They added that the race is expected to return to the calendar once conditions allow.
