Saudi Film Commission to Host Pavilion at Berlin Film Festival

The Saudi Film Commission will participate in the 75th Berlin International Film Festival, running from February 13th to the 23rd. The commission will host a national pavilion in collaboration with key industry partners.

The pavilion will highlight Saudi Arabia’s expanding role in the global film industry and its strategy to attract filmmakers and producers. A roundtable session, titled ‘Will 2025 be the Year of Independent Films at the Global Box Office?’, will bring together industry leaders to discuss trends and challenges.

The Saudi Film Commission, established in February 2020 and affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, is dedicated to advancing Saudi Arabia's film industry. The commission’s delegation, accompanied by Saudi filmmakers, aims to promote cultural exchange, support emerging talent, and develop skills within the Kingdom’s film sector.

The Berlin International Film Festival, founded in 1951, is among Europe’s premier film events. It is most known for its prestigious Golden Bear awards for best film.
