Saudi Investment Fund PIF Acquires Stake in Men's Tennis ATP

Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) has recently announced a multi-year partnership with the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the world’s top-tier tennis tour for men. 

While specific details about PIF’s investment in ATP were not disclosed, PIF will become the official naming partner of the ATP rankings as part of this partnership. Additionally, PIF will become a partner with ATP Tour events in Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, and Beijing, along with the ATP Finals. 

Meanwhile, the Next Gen ATP Finals will be hosted in Jeddah until 2027. In 2023, the Kingdom hosted its first ATP Tour event, the Next Gen ATP Finals in Jeddah. 

Since 2021, the Saudi Public Investment Fund has been heavily investing in major sports industries including the LIV golf tour, which is a rival to the Professional Golfers’ Association of America.
