he decision comes as part of ongoing adjustments to the country’s temporary early closure 9 PM policy.
The Egyptian Cabinet has announced an extension to current closing hours for shops, restaurants and commercial venues, allowing them to remain open until 11 PM starting tomorrow, Friday April 10th and continuing through April 27th.
The decision comes as part of ongoing adjustments to the country’s temporary early closure 9 PM policy, originally introduced to curb energy consumption amid rising fuel costs and the regional conflict.
Since late March, businesses across Egypt have been required to shut by 9 PM on weekdays and 10 PM on weekends, as part of a nationwide effort to reduce electricity usage.
