South Bay Mall to Open as First Retail Centre in Dubai South
Covering 200,000 sq ft across three levels, the mall will include open air walkways, rooftop terraces with lagoon views and a range of retail and leisure facilities.
South Bay Mall is set to become the first retail and lifestyle centre for the Dubai South Residential District, introducing a dedicated space for shopping, dining and everyday services in an area that has so far lacked a central hub.
Covering 200,000 sq ft across three levels, the mall will include open air walkways, rooftop terraces with lagoon views and a range of retail and leisure facilities. Current plans outline more than 60 shops, two anchor stores, a food hall, a gym, spa, clinic, clubhouse and parking for over 400 vehicles.
The mall is being positioned to serve the broader South Bay development, which includes more than 800 villas and townhouses, over 200 waterfront mansions and a network of promenades, private beaches and lagoon-side paths. Its addition is expected to give residents a closer option for daily errands and social activity.
Developers say the project forms part of ongoing efforts to build out the district into a self-contained waterfront neighbourhood with accessible public spaces and essential services. Let me know if you want it even more neutral or more urban-planning focused.
