Students Involved in Assault at International School in Cairo Expelled

In response to the assault on a student at an international private school in New Cairo, Mr. Mohamed Abdel Latif, Minister of Education and Technical Education, instructed the formation of a committee to investigate the incident and take all necessary legal actions against those responsible. After reviewing the committee's report, the Minister issued several directives.
The school will be placed under financial and administrative supervision. The students who directly assaulted the victim will be permanently expelled and banned from applying to any school until the start of the next academic year. Additionally, students who passively participated in the incident, including those who filmed the assault and shared the video on social media without the victim's consent, will face a two-week suspension.
All violations related to neglect in supervision and monitoring have been referred to the Ministry's General Administration of Legal Affairs for legal action, with the Ministry tasked to follow up on the public prosecution's investigation. Videos of the assault circulated online on January 16th, sparking nationwide outrage.
