The UAE’s Summer Solstice is Coming Early This Year
The UAE will see its summer solstice on June 20th, the earliest since 1796.
The United Arab Emirates will experience an early summer solstice this year on June 20th at approximately 20:51 UTC. This will be the earliest solstice since 1796 for most countries around the world.
With the sun directly overhead at the Tropic of Cancer, the day of the solstice will reach 13 hours and 48 minutes of daylight. In areas directly below the sun, such as the southern regions of the UAE, no shadows will be cast at noon.
Temperatures are expected to range between 41 and 43 degrees celsius during the day, and between 26 and 29 degrees celsius at night. This is expected to continue to be the case from June 21st until around August 10th.
