Two Israelis Sentenced to Five-Year Prison Sentence Over Taba Assault
Two Israelis have been sentenced in Egypt after a 2023 hotel fight that left tourists and workers injured in the Red Sea town of Taba.

An Egyptian court sentenced two Israeli citizens to five years in prison for assaulting hotel workers in the Red Sea town of Taba. The incident took place in August 2024 when tensions escalated during a stay at a hotel in the area.
Security sources said the altercation began after one of the Israeli tourists insulted a hotel worker, triggering a fight that left five people injured, including two Egyptians and three Arab Israelis.
The court ruling, delivered this week, applies to two of the individuals involved. Details regarding the other Israeli tourists mentioned in the incident have not been publicly disclosed.
