UAE Ramadan Volunteer Forum Opens in Abu Dhabi
The forum brings together volunteer entities to coordinate structured programmes and preparedness efforts for the holy month.
The UAE Ramadan Volunteer Forum has opened in Abu Dhabi as a national initiative focused on reinforcing institutional volunteerism and enhancing community readiness during the holy month of Ramadan.
Organisers stated that the forum is designed to promote structured and coordinated volunteering carried out by institutions and specialised groups, supporting the wide range of activities that typically take place throughout Ramadan. By positioning volunteer efforts within an institutional framework, the initiative seeks to ensure that community-facing programmes and services are delivered in an organised and consistent manner.
The forum is organised by the UAE Community and Specialised Volunteer Programme and the Emirates Giving Association, in partnership with Jaheziya. The collaboration is intended to align planning, readiness and operational coordination across volunteer programmes and community initiatives.
The launch in Abu Dhabi marks the formal start of preparations for Ramadan, setting out a framework for institutional volunteer engagement during the month.
