UAE Residents Can Now Perform Umrah with Tourist & Transit Visas
The new transit visa allows GCC residents to stay in Saudi Arabia for up to 96 hours.

The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced that GCC residents can now perform Umrah using transit and tourist visas, alongside the traditional Umrah visa.
The new transit visa allows travellers to stay in Saudi Arabia for up to 96 hours. Bookings for the Al Rawdah Al Sharif area at the Prophet’s Mosque in Medinah are now mandatory through the Nusuk app.
This follows changes introduced in August 2024, when Saudi Arabia expanded Umrah eligibility to all international visa holders, including those with US, UK, and Schengen visas.
