The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research have announced that all studies in the UAE will transition to distance learning from Monday, March 2nd, 2026 to Wednesday, March 4th, 2026, affecting students, teaching staff, and administrative employees across public and private schools and universities nationwide.

The move comes as authorities respond to heightened regional security tensions, following a wave of missiles launched across Gulf states earlier today in retaliation for US and Israeli strikes on Iranian territory.

The government has not detailed whether the distance‑learning order impacts scheduled exams or how other services will operate during this period, but stressed that this temporary adjustment aims to ensure safety and continuity of learning given the broader security climate.
