USD 5 Million Pump Factory Will Be Established in Suez Canal Zone
The new centre will facilitate the assembly, manufacturing, and distribution of large-scale water pumps in the SCZone.
Japanese manufacturer Torishima is establishing a pump production centre in Egypt’s Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), with a USD 5 million investment.
Covering an area of 30,000 square metres, the new centre will facilitate the assembly, manufacturing and distribution of large-scale water pumps. These pumps will play crucial roles in various industrial and civilian applications, including water treatment and desalination plants.
The project will be situated within the Industria Sokhna project, developed by Elsewedy Industrial Development, a subsidiary of Elsewedy Electric Group. Spanning 1.7 million square metres, Industria Sokhna offers a host of incentives and benefits for investors and manufacturers, including exemptions from customs duties and taxes, streamlined visa processing, and efficient licensing procedures.
The SCZone's board of directors has approved a total of 46 projects, adding up to an investment of USD 3.6 billion in the zone's industrial sectors. The project is part of a nationwide vision to bolster the private sector’s and foreign investments’ contribution to the national GDP.
