Walid El Batouty is First Egyptian Ambassador for WFTGA
Made up of 94 countries and nearly 550,000 tour guides worldwide, the UN’s World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations markets and empowers tour guides as the voices of their regions.

The board of directors of the UN’s World Federation of Tourist Guide Associations (WFTGA) has chosen Walid El Batouty as the first official ambassador to come from Egypt.
El Batouty has worked as a tour guide for over 30 years, and served at the Egyptian General Tourist Guides Syndicate as the chairman of the registration and admission committee from 2002 to 2012. He is currently the Vice-President of the Arab Association of Tour Guides since 2005, as well as the representative of the WFTGA for the Middle East region since 2003.
Made up of 94 countries and nearly 550,000 tour guides worldwide, the WFTGA is dedicated to marketing and empowering tour guides as the voices of their regions.
