Wynn Bridge to Link Al Marjan Island Resort to UAE Road Network

A new 548-metre bridge is under construction to connect Wynn Al Marjan Island directly to the UAE’s federal road network, with completion expected in October. The link will provide access from Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road and Emirates Road and connect the resort area to surrounding planned beach districts via Wynn Boulevard, ahead of the project’s scheduled opening in spring 2027.
Construction on the bridge is reported to be 48% complete, with piling works finished and nine out of 10 bridge column pile caps already installed. Once operational, the bridge is expected to improve traffic flow to the island and support circulation between neighbouring coastal developments, forming a key access route for visitors and service traffic.
The bridge forms part of broader infrastructure preparations tied to the Wynn Al Marjan Island resort, which is currently under construction by a workforce exceeding 18,000. The hotel structure is planned to rise 305 metres across 70 storeys, placing it among the world’s tallest hotels and above Dubai’s Address Beach Resort in height rankings.
Project details released to date indicate the resort will include 1,530 rooms, 22 restaurants, an events centre, a nightclub, spa, salon, designer retail outlets, multiple swimming pools and a marina. Announced dining concepts include a French-American steakhouse by Alain Ducasse and an international outpost of the Delilah supper club. Development costs have been cited at approximately USD 5.1 billion.
The project secured the UAE’s first gaming licence in 2024. In project disclosures, “gaming” is used in line with U.S. terminology for gambling, which remains prohibited in the UAE under current regulations.
